The Old Town or Ciutat Vella is the historic heart of Valencia and the most beautiful. We will arrange for transport to and from the venue, both for those that return before the after party and those who are partying the night away - Spanish style.
We'd really recommend staying in and around the Old Town.
If hiring a car, please note that parking can be tricky in and around the Old Town. If you are driving, depending on where you stay, we can recommend car parks. Finding spaces on the street is possible - but may take some patience!
We'd recommend either arranging an airport transfer through Booking.com or simply getting a cab to and from the airport (about 20 Euros) or taking the metro from the airport into the Old Town.
Valencia
Valencia is very well-connected from most UK airports and please use http://wwww.skyscanner.com to find your perfect flight.
At the time of wiring, you can book flights with the following airlines and routes:
Bristol to Valencia with Ryanair
East Midlands to Valencia with Ryanair
London Heathrow to Valencia with British Airways
London Gatwick to Valencia with Easyjet and Vueling (a Spanish low-cost carrier)
London Stansted to Valencia with Ryanair
Manchester to Valencia with Ryanair
Please note that Ryanair release their schedules no more than 6 months in advance, so if you wish to fly with them, a flight might not be showing as available.
British Airways, Easyjet and Vueling have already released flights.
Other entry points
Alicante
Alicante is around a 1.45 hour drive from Valencia and flights to Alicante leave just about every UK airport!
Madrid
Flights to Madrid (if you fancied a few days in the capital) leave from just about every UK airport. The very, very high-speed train (350km per hour!), it is very cheap and takes just 1.5 hours to take you straight into the heart of Valencia. We can help you with booking this.
Getting the train is possible, going via Paris, through France and connecting to the Spanish high-speed rail network. It is, however, normally very expensive and of course, takes a lot longer.
Valencia has a very wide selection of hotels and apartments, all of which are reasonably priced and I (Matthew) have yet to stay in a bad Valencian hotel!
Whenever we go to Valencia http://www.booking.com is our first point of call
What follows are some hotels we have stayed at and know to be good and / or are generally regarded as being a good bet, close to where you'd want to stay in Valencia.
Special hotel deal
SH Hotel Ingles - is a great and very reasonably priced 4 star hotel, right in the heart of the Old Town, near some great bars, restaurants and shops. We've stayed there before and really enjoyed it. We have a discount code at this hotel, saving you 15%-off the room rate (which is always cheaper than Booking.com). To book you must click on this link and use this promo code: BODAALEXMATTHEW.
The code will work for reservations made for any dates between 5 and 12 September 2022. A credit card will be needed for the reservation but there is free cancellation up to 48 hours before the stay if you choose the flexible rate. If you chose the "best price available rate" the room is non-refundable. The SH Hotel Ingles is a small, but excellent hotel - and worth booking early to get a good deal! At the time of writing, this discount code is about 20% cheaper than the listing on Booking.com.
If you do not use the link (above) AND the promo code, you may not get the discount and cancellation options.
We will be staying a few minutes walk from this hotel.
